For this episode, we’re speaking with Sean Giovanni, the owner of The Record Shop recording studio and production company based in Nashville. Sean showed up in town at the age of 19 with ambitions of finding a studio job that never happened. Today his vision is much larger and he hopes to impart a bit of hard-earned wisdom into the next generation of aspiring engineers.

Sean also operates Mind Map, a project designed to support artists as they navigate the challenging journey of entrepreneurship in the modern music industry.

Erik worked in a wide range of roles in pro audio for more than 20 years in a dynamic career that encompasses system design and engineering in the live, install and recording markets. He also spent a number of years as a church production staff member and Media Director, and as an author for several leading industry publications before joining the PSW team.
