Midas Out With Clutch For Psychic Warfare Tour (Video)

Front of house engineer Lee Brintnall chooses PRO2 console with monitor engineer Al Function utilizing the PRO2C.

Midas consoles have been deployed for Clutch at front of house and monitors on the Psychic Warfare Tour.

Front of house sound engineer Lee Brintnall, has been mixing Clutch for 16 years.

During that time he’s come across some fine mixing consoles, but Midas eventually made the final cut.

It’s been three and a half years since Clutch made the choice to buy their own monitor and front of house consoles, and they’ve never looked back.

Watch our interview with Brintnall as he explains why the PRO2 is the console for him, and talks us through some of the new effects he is using.

(Video 1 features Lee Brintnall and video 2 features Al Function.)

Monitor engineer Al Function started his journey with Clutch as a guitar tech and in 2011 began mixing monitors for the band. When sourcing a monitor console Function wanted something small and simple but with incredible sound, a bit like an analog.

The search led him and front of house engineer, Lee Brintnall, to Midas. We catch up with Al at the band’s final concert of the Psychic Warfare Tour where he tells us about the Midas learning experience to date.
