Andy’s still old school in that he’s a console-in-the-studio guy, but that doesn’t diminish his mixes one bit. In fact, that very well may be a reason why so many high-profile artists still seek him out to mix their records.

While an analog console may be a component of the Andy’s sound, it’s certainly just a small part of what contributes to his great mixes. As with all great mixers, the ears and taste are what you’re paying for, but sometimes it comes down to how the mixer approaches the song as well.
