Returning to InfoComm for the fourth year running, the team at Current RMS have been hard at work developing new features of its centralized rental management solution to give attendees a sneak peek of during the show, prior to their official release.
A highly requested feature by Current RMS customers; the mobile scanning app, will enable users to scan their gear out and check it back in using the in-built camera on their phone or tablet. Available on iOS and Android devices, the app will speed up warehouse operations dramatically, allowing users to allocate, prepare, book out and check-in their gear without having to pair a barcode scanner to their device. Plus, multiple people can work on jobs at the same time, as Current updates in real time whenever an item is scanned, so there won’t be any clashes.
Temporary Containers, a feature that Current RMS are due to release soon, is the next phase on from Serialized Containers. Previously, users could build up permanent flight cases with only serialized gear, however, they now have the option to create permanent or temporary containers. Temporary Containers can consist of serialized, bulk and non-stock items and are built up and broken down on a job-by-job basis, rather than being kept together permanently. This new feature adds flexibility to warehouse operations, giving users the ability to build up flight cases as they wish.
The first phase of Current RMS’ Purchasing module is about to go into beta mode for all their users to enjoy. Allowing users to create purchase orders for sub-rented gear, services and manual costs, this update will help users better plan budgets and logistics, giving them a full audit trail of their purchase history, by providing a unique number that can be used to track the order throughout its lifecycle.
All this and more will be demonstrated on Booth #6749 with the Current RMS team.
