PK Sound To Cover Mexico’s Electric Daisy Carnival With Trinity

Company announces plans to provide the largest Trinity system ever deployed at Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

Mexico City boasts a thriving electronic music community among its 9 million inhabitants. Last year, over 125,000 people passed through the gates at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez to experience Insomniac Event’s Electric Daisy Carnival Mexico, and this year they are expected to surpass that.

Canadian loudspeaker manufacturer PK Sound will be powering the main stage, Kinetic Field with Trinity for upwards of 80,000 audience members. PK’s Trinity robotic line array is capable of sculpting the sound field in 3 dimensions, remotely.

Jeremy Bridge, PK Sound president and CEO says “This year we are very excited to be providing EDC Mexico with the largest Trinity system ever deployed. The experience will be amazing. The quality of the artists and music will be at its highest, and we owe it to the fans to provide nothing but the best sound.”

The sound system at the Kinetic Field stage will consist of a total of 80 Trinity modules: 14 per side as the main line array, with an additional 12 modules per side set up as outfills to cover the wide audience area. 8 VX12 line arrays will be set up as front fill.

To cover the long distance from the stage, 3 individual hangs of 10 Trinity modules will be set up as mid-field delays and 3 sets of 14 VX10 compact line array modules will provide sound coverage at the back. For the low-end, an arsenal 142 dual 18-inch CX800 subwoofers will be set up in a wall formation if front of the stage. The Trinity sound system being implemented will overshadow what PK Sound had brought in last year for the Circuit Grounds and Neon Garden stages.

EDC Mexico will feature headliners including: Alesso, Hardwell, Major Lazer, The Chainsmokers, Zomboy, Marshmello and many more.
