JBL Professional By Harman Introduces the EON Linear Array PA System At Prolight + Sound 2016

Incorporates column loudspeaker and subwoofer with Bluetooth audio and a six-channel mixer

At the Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt, JBL Professional by Harman introduced the EON ONE linear array PA system incorporating a column loudspeaker and subwoofer with Bluetooth audio and a six-channel mixer.

An unobstructed 10-inch bass-reflex subwoofer is designed to provide tight, accurate low-frequency response, while the high-frequency section is outfitted with JBL’s patent-pending Directivity Control Geometry to optimize the spacing and angles of the six two-inch high-frequency drivers. Stated maximum SPL of the system is 118 dB.

The built-in six-channel mixer enables users to connect microphones, instruments, such as acoustic guitars, electric guitars and keyboards, and other sources. The mixer also offers bass, treble and reverb controls to optimize the sound. Bluetooth audio streaming facilitates playing back recorded music from smartphones, tablets and more.

The EON ONE can be carried with one hand. The high-frequency section and two spacers fit into the base unit to provide a streamlined package. Users can choose the right number of spacers to optimize the sound for each application. Two spacers provide a long throw for live performances and large crowds, while a single spacer is intended for conferences, gyms and medium-sized groups. For small meetings and intimate events, users can place the high-frequency section directly atop the base unit.

“The EON ONE provides a sleek, highly portable solution without compromise,” says Craig Lambrecht, Retail & Recording Solutions, Harman Professional Solutions. “The EON ONE was created by the same engineers behind the breakthrough technologies found in our flagship loudspeakers and reference monitors. We’re excited to bring world-class JBL sound quality to even more musicians and venues through this new form factor.”
